Unlocking Your Voice in Business: A 3-Step Process

It’s that time of year again — the "New Year, New You" messages are everywhere.
But let’s be honest: you’re not broken, and you don’t need a new version of yourself.

You already hold everything you need inside you: a one-of-a-kind personality, hard-earned wisdom, and a constellation of gifts and talents no one else can replicate.

The challenge isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about unearthing and expressing the fullest, truest version of you.

I invite you to see your voice as the vehicle - the catalyst - that creates a ripple effect of impact, not just in your business, but in your entire life.

You might be wondering, how do I actually do that?

Let’s start with a story.

When I was 9 years old, I sang in public for the first time — “If I Only Had a Brain” from The Wizard of Oz, at St. Louis Union Station.

From there, music became a core part of my identity. I took lessons with top vocal coaches, and eventually pursued a degree in vocal performance.

But freshman year of college, everything shifted.

The joy I once felt for singing... vanished.

I walked away from music - something I thought I’d be tied to forever.

For years, I wondered: How could such deep love disappear so quickly?

It wasn’t until decades later, after building and growing multiple businesses, that the answer revealed itself.

Growing a business teaches you everything about who you really are.

It activates your deepest fears.
It challenges you to choose faith over fear — again and again.
It demands you stay committed to your vision, even when the road gets messy.

It wasn’t a lack of talent or love for music that made me leave singing behind.
It was that my true calling — my truest voice — was meant to be expressed in a different way.

I had to build my business to rebuild my voice.

Today, I know this:

  • My voice matters.

  • My voice brings others joy.

  • Love, passion, and fun will always outweigh perfection.

And friend, so does yours.

Your voice is your vehicle.
It’s how you inspire.
It’s how you lead.
It’s how you create the impact you’re here to make.

Of course, using your voice can feel scary. Vulnerable. Exposed.

But if you feel called to do meaningful work, your voice is a non-negotiable part of the journey.

Here’s a simple, powerful 3-step process to help you unlock and unleash it:

Step 1: ACCESS Your Voice

Your voice is an extension of your soul, but sometimes, it gets buried under doubt, fear, or old narratives.

Think back:
When have you felt most connected to your voice?
When did sharing your truth feel effortless - or even exhilarating?

Those memories are clues. Find them. Reconnect to them.

Step 2: ACTIVATE Your Voice

Once you access your voice, it’s time to use it - even if it feels vulnerable.

Visibility is an act of service. When you speak up, you’re offering something powerful to the people who need you most.

Ask yourself:
What do the people I’m here to serve need to hear from me right now, in 2025?
What message will help them take their next brave step?

Step 3: AMPLIFY Your Voice

Get louder. Not in volume, but in clarity, conviction, and consistency.

Take a stand for what you believe. Share your values. Let your passion shine through everything you do.

Your voice isn't meant to whisper in the background; it’s meant to lead.

This journey back to my voice wasn’t just about singing. It was about coming home to myself as a business owner, as a woman, and as a leader.

And yes, in a full-circle moment, I did return to the stage — singing publicly for the first time in over 20 years here in Israel, March 5th, 2023 (and multiple times since then). A moment of pure joy I’ll never forget.

As you set out to grow your business in 2025 and beyond, know this: You don’t have to do it alone.

I’m here to mentor, coach, and walk alongside you as you find your voice, refine your message, and build a business that feels like home.

Your voice is your vehicle. Let’s unlock it together.
